<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the implementation of student management in handling students who experience transfer and dropout in public schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation involving school principals, guidance and counseling teachers, class teachers, students, and parents. The data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques, which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of student management in public schools has covered the stages of planning, development, and evaluation, but it has not been fully optimal. The School Environment Introduction Program (MPLS) based on education, class grouping according to student potential, and counseling services play an effective role in reducing transfer and dropout rates. The main factors causing dropouts are still dominated by family economic conditions, low learning motivation, and minimal support from the social environment. In conclusion, effective, participatory, and character-based student management, supported by collaboration between schools, parents, and local governments, is key to reducing transfer and dropout rates and achieving quality and sustainable education in public schools.]]>
