<![CDATA[This research aimed to describe the teacher's role in improving the quality of brake system learning at SMK. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This research was conducted at SMK Boedi Oetomo 2 Gandrungmangu. Sources of information in this research consisted of the principal, the tutor, and 3 student. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the data was done by triangulation (source, technique, time). The data analysis technique used the Miles and Hubermen model which consists of data collection (data collection), data reduction (data reduction), data display (data display), conclusion drawing/verification (conclusion drawing/verification). The results of the data showed that (1) the teacher's role in improving the quality of learning is very important, which included correctors, inspirations, motivators, initiators, facilitators, mentors, demonstrators and mediators. (2) The quality of learning that was formed through teaching and learning activities included discipline, always paying attention to the teacher when delivering material, obeying class rules, being responsible, and being polite. (3) Constraints faced in improving the quality of brake system learning included the different nature of students, the problems faced by students when they were outside of school caused the students' psychology while at school to be slightly disturbed, lack of motivational encouragement for students to participate in learning activities at school, lack of time to carry out learning activities, and incomplete school infrastructure to carry out practicum.]]>
