The School Literacy Movement (GLS) is a program aimed at improving students' reading culture and basic literacy skills. However, the implementation of the GLS program in several elementary schools still faces obstacles such as low student motivation in reading activities and a lack of variety in literacy activities. The Community Service Program (KKN) activities by students of Muhammadiyah University of Bangka Belitung were carried out at SD Negeri 19 Sijuk as an effort to support the implementation of the GLS program through a participatory approach that directly involved teachers and students. The implementation method included observation, socialization, activity planning, reading and writing assistance, and simple evaluation of student responses. The results of the program implementation showed an increase in student enthusiasm in participating in reading and storytelling activities in class. In addition, teachers also gave a positive response because the implementation of literacy activities can help create a learning atmosphere that feels more active, less monotonous, and enjoyable.
