Rendahnya kemampuan siswa SMA dalam menulis karya ilmiah berbasis data kuantitatif merupakan tantangan serius dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi tuntutan akademik dan perkembangan era digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa SMA Plus Budi Utomo Makassar dalam menulis karya ilmiah berbasis data melalui pelatihan ekonometrika yang aplikatif. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan pembelajaran berbasis praktik dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan siswa. Kegiatan ini mencakup penyampaian materi dasar-dasar ekonometrika, praktik analisis regresi, serta penyusunan dan presentasi karya tulis ilmiah oleh siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan teknis siswa, yang dibuktikan melalui nilai post-test serta kualitas karya tulis yang dihasilkan. Siswa menunjukkan kemajuan dalam mengolah data, memahami hubungan antar variabel, serta menginterpretasikan hasil analisis secara sistematis. Kegiatan ini juga mendapat dukungan aktif dari guru pendamping dan membuka peluang integrasi program serupa ke dalam kegiatan sekolah secara berkelanjutan. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kuantitatif siswa dan menjadi model pengembangan kompetensi ilmiah di tingkat pendidikan menengah. ABSTRACT The limited ability of high school students to write scientific papers based on quantitative data poses a significant challenge in the world of education, especially in preparing the younger generation to face academic demands and developments in the digital era. This community service activity aims to improve the skills of students at SMA Plus Budi Utomo Makassar in writing scientific papers based on data through applied econometric training. The implementation method employed a participatory approach and practice-based learning using Microsoft Excel software adapted to the students' skill level. The activity includes the delivery of basic econometrics concepts, regression analysis practice, as well as the preparation and presentation of scientific papers by the students. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of conceptual and technical skills, as evidenced by post-test scores and the quality of the scientific papers produced. Students demonstrated progress in data processing, understanding relationships between variables, and systematically interpreting analysis results. This activity also received active support from accompanying teachers and opened opportunities for the integration of similar programs into school activities on an ongoing basis. This training proved effective in improving students' quantitative literacy and has served as a model for developing scientific competencies at the secondary education level.
