<![CDATA[Abstrak Kajian ini menelaah novel Hello karya Tere Liye dengan menggunakan paradigma realisme sosial Georg Lukacs. Dalam paradigma ini novel dilihat sebagai penggambaran realistis tentang kondisi sosial, terutama ketimpangan, kemiskinan, dan perjuangan kelas. Kajian ini fokus pada konsep realitas objektif, refleksi artistik atas realitas, dan analisis kesadaran tokoh. Oleh karena itu, metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang digunakan bertumpu pada teknik baca, catat, dan menafsirkan data yang diperoleh dari novel sebagai sumber data primernya. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Hello merefleksikan ketimpangan kelas sosial sebagai realitas objektif. Struktur kelas tidak hanya dipertahankan oleh tokoh dominan atau kelas atas tetapi juga diinternalisasi oleh tokoh dari kelas bawah. Pengarang menyajikan refleksi artistik dengan menyuarakan kritik terhadap struktur sosial yang mengekang, bukan hanya mendeskripsikan latar dan tokoh. Novel Hello menyoroti realitas ketimpangan sosial yang masih terjadi di Indonesia serta memperlihatkan struktur kelas dan ideologi dominan mampu mengekang aspirasi individu. Implikasi kritik sosial tersebut dalam novel ini relevan bagi masyarakat karena dapat mendorong pembaca untuk menyadari isu-isu terkait keadilan sosial serta pentingnya perubahan dalam struktur sosial. Hal ini bertujuan menciptakan kesempatan yang lebih setara bagi setiap individu. Dengan demikian, novel Hello tidak hanya sebagai karya fiksi, tetapi juga sebagai representasi kondisi sosial yang dapat memicu refleksi terhadap realitas yang ada.Abstract: This study examines Tere Liye's novel Hello using Georg Lukacs' social realism paradigm. In this paradigm, novels are seen as realistic depictions of social conditions, especially inequality, poverty, and class struggle. This study focuses on the concepts of objective reality, artistic reflection on reality, and analysis of character consciousness. Therefore, the descriptive qualitative research method used relies on the techniques of reading, recording, and interpreting data obtained from the novel as the primary data source. This study shows that the novel Hello reflects social class inequality as an objective reality. The class structure is not only maintained by dominant characters or the upper class but is also internalized by characters from the lower class. The author presents artistic reflection by voicing criticism of the restrictive social structure, not just describing the setting and characters. The novel Hello highlights the reality of social inequality that still exists in Indonesia and shows how class structures and dominant ideologies can stifle individual aspirations. The implications of this social criticism in the novel are relevant to society because they can encourage readers to become aware of issues related to social justice and the importance of change in social structures. This aims to create more equal opportunities for every individual. Thus, the novel Hello is not only a work of fiction, but also a representation of social conditions that can trigger reflection on existing realities.
