Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplanasikan keefektifan Game Story Cubes pada keterampilan siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen menggunakan Quasi Experimental Design dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Populasi penelitian ini siswa kelas IX MTs An-nur Kota Cirebon. Sampel penelitian ini kelas IX B dan IX C. Teknik pengumpulan data mengggunakan tes dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu lembar soal dan observasi. Uji validitas berupa validitas konstruk, dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan inter-rater. Terdapat peningkatan nilai tes siswa dari rata-rata pretest 75,68 menjadi 87,75 pada posttest. Selain itu, hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, penggunaan Game Story Cubes efektif dalam keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas IX C MTs An-Nur Kota Cirebon.The Effectiveness of the Story Cubes Game on Short Story Writing Skills at MTs An-Nur, Cirebon CityThis study aims to explain the effectiveness of the Story Cubes Game on students' skills in writing short stories. This study is an experimental study using Quasi quasi-experimental design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The population of this study was grade IX students of MTs An-Nur Kota Cirebon. The sample of this study was grades IX B and IX C. The Data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The research instruments were question sheets and observations. The validity test was in the form of construct validity, and the reliability test used inter-rater. There was an increase in students' test scores from an average pretest of 75.68 to 87.75 on the posttest. In addition, the t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Thus, the use of the Story Cubes Game is effective in the short story writing skills of grade IX C students of MTs An-Nur Kota Cirebon.
