Analisis Sentimen Potensi Gempa Megathrust di Indonesia Menggunakan Random Forest

Abstract

Abstrak :Pada bulan Agustus tepatnya di tahun 2024, berita mengenai adanya potensi gempa megathrust di Indonesia membuat kalangan warga internet heboh salah satunya di media sosial X. Hal ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran dan adanya perbedaan sudut pandang dalam menanggapi berita ini di kalangan masyarakat terlebih para pengguna media sosial. Dikarenakan Indonesia sendiri memiliki 13 zona subduksi yang tersebar di beberapa wilayah. Zona subduksi sendiri merupakan pertemuan antar lempeng besar yang saling bertubrukan dan dapat mengakibatkan gempa megathrust. Akan tetapi, terdapat dua zona yang hangat diperbincangkan, yaitu Megathrust Mentawai-Siberut dan Selat Sunda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi reaksi masyarakat online dalam menanggapi isu megathrust. Pendekatan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Random Forest, yang dikenal mampu menangani data yang besar dan akurasi yang dihasilkan tinggi. Tahapan pengolahan data meliputi pembersihan teks (cleaning), case folding, normalisasi, tokenisasi, penghapusan stopword, stemming, serta adanya evaluasi model. Data yang digunakan untuk melakukan pelatihan dan pengujian berasal dari tweet dengan kata kunci megathrust. Hasil pengujian menggunakan data latih sebanyak 136 data dan menghasilkan nilai recall 84.38%, precision sebesar 71.05%, dan accuracy sebesar 63.24% dalam mengklasifikasikan sentimen netral. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu lembaga pemerintahan dan organisasi sadar bencana memahami persepsi masyarakat di dunia maya. Dengan wawasan ini, lembaga terkait dapat lebih efektif dalam merancang strategi komunikasi, penyuluhan, serta mitigasi risiko, sehingga mendukung peningkatan kesiapsiagaan bencana di Indonesia.===================================================Abstract :In August, in 2024, news of a potential megathrust earthquake in Indonesia caused a stir among internet citizens, including on social media X. This caused concern and different perspectives on this news among the public, especially social media users. The subduction zone itself is a meeting between large plates that collide with each other and can cause megathrust earthquakes. However, there are two zones that are hotly discussed, namely the Mentawai-Siberut Megathrust and the Sunda Strait. This study aims to evaluate the reaction of online communities in responding to the megathrust issue. The approach that will be used in this research is the Random Forest method, which is known to be able to handle large data and high accuracy. Data processing stages include text cleaning, case folding, normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and model evaluation. The data used to conduct training and testing comes from tweets with megathrust keywords. The test results used 136 training data and produced a recall value of 84.38%, precision of 71.05%, and accuracy of 63.24% in classifying neutral sentiment.  This research is expected to help government agencies and disaster awareness organizations understand public perception in cyberspace. With this insight, related institutions can be more effective in designing communication strategies, counseling, and risk mitigation, thus supporting the improvement of disaster preparedness in Indonesia
