Abstract

Indonesia faces vocational teachers’ shortage both in the quantity and quality. One of Indonesian goverments’ effortsto overcome that problem is holding a Dual Expertise Program (DEP) to produce dual expertise teachers for vocational schools. However, the quality of dual expertise vocational teacher is still questionable. The purpose of this article is to give an idea related to the conceptual model framework for improving the quality of vocational teachers demonstrated by the teachers’ achievements. The authors of this article discuss factors that have an impact on the quality of vocational teachers and describe a framework based on a literature review that might contribute to improving the quality of vocational teachers, especially dual expertise vocational teachers. Based on the results of the article found that to improve the quality of vocational teacher can be improved through increasing self-efficacy and transferable skills, in addition to pay attention to teacher’s initial expertise and teaching experience.

Abstract

Minimnya informasi terkait kepariwisataan di Kota Batu yang bisa diakses online dan terintegrasi membuat potensi pariwisata di Batu kurang begitu dikenal oleh wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Sejauh ini informasi wisata di Kota Batu baru sebatas media cetak dan media elektronik, dan belum ada penyebaran informasi melalui internet seperti peta wisata yang dapat diakses secara online. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan peta wisata berbasis AJAX pada “esbatu” sistem informasi jejaring wisata Kota Batu. Rancangan penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan pada Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Batu. Pengembangan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan waterfall model dengan pengujian BlackBox testing. Validitas peta wisata diukur dengan menggunakan DeLone and McLean Model of Information Systems Success. Hasil pengujian dengan BlackBox testing menunjukkan bahwa secara fungsionalitas semua fitur pada peta wisata berjalan lancar. Hasil validasi kepada ahli sistem informasi, ahli pariwisata Kota Batu, dan beberapa calon pengguna peta wisata pada sistem informasi “esbatu” menunjukkan bahwa peta wisata sangat valid dari segi sistem informasi dan informasi pariwisata sehingga layak digunakan tanpa revisi.

Abstract

Literasi merupakan aspek yang menjadi salah satu titik fokus pembangunan bangsa Indonesia. Namun, tidak semua lapisan masyarakat mempunyai literasi teknologi yang baik. Hal senada ditemukan di lingkungan RW 10 Desa Pesanggrahan. Berdasarkan observasi peneliti, diketahui bahwa terdapat masalah di RW 10 Desa Pesanggrahan berupa rendahnya literasi teknologi yang dimiliki oleh kader PKK dan Dasa Wisma. Oleh karena itu, tim peneliti menggagas pelatihan penggunaan Microsoft Word bagi kader PKK dan Dasa Wisma RW 10 Desa Pesanggrahan untuk dapat meningkatkan literasi warga. Penelitian ini memaparkan pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan Microsoft Word dengan pendekatan action research. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan: (1) terbentuknya modul pelatihan yang valid; dan (2) pelatihan dapat meningkatkan literasi teknologi yang dimiliki oleh warga, khususnya di bidang Microsoft Word.

Abstract

The online learning process cannot fully explore the potential of students, mainly due to monotonous learning methods. This makes students less enthusiastic in participating in online learning. Students’ learning motivation and achievement become less optimal. This study initiated an alternative online learning method that can be used during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a research and development (R&D) using ADDIE model with the steps including analysis, design, development, then continued with implementation and ended with evaluation. The learning method developed was the chain whispering method which was carried out online. The developed method was a valid and effective learning method in increasing understanding and motivation.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, teknologi telah merambah ke seluruh bentuk kegiatan masyarakat. Hasil observasi tim penulis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar warga RW 10 Desa Pesanggrahan mempunyai perangkat smartphone Android. Namun, smartphone tersebut mayoritas hanya digunakan sebagai fungsi dasar. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membuat modul elektronik berbasis Android yang dapat digunakan di mana saja dan kapan saja serta mempermudah pembelajaran selama berlatih Microsoft Word, Google Excel, dan Google Spreadsheet. Pengembangan e-Modul dilaksanakan dengan metode waterfall dengan hasil: (1) seluruh skenario pengujian fungsionalitas e-Modul secara blackbox testing diterima; dan (2) e-Modul dapat dipergunakan sebagai media pelatihan yang valid.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 outbreak, the learning implementation has shifted from offline to online. This transition causes students to have difficulty participating in learning, especially actively participating in the online learning process. One of the causes of this is the low learning motivation of students, teachers lack innovation in online learning methods. The objective of this study is to develop an alternative online learning method during the Covid-19 outbreak in the form of the online-based Two Stay Two Stray method. This is a Research and Development using the ADDIE model. The results show that the validity of the lesson plan is at an average value of 3.54, while the validity of the learning model in the expert validation and pilot tests is at an average value of 3.46 and 3.14. The results of the research show that the empirically developed method has proven to be an effective and valid learning method that enhances student comprehension and motivation.

Abstract

Aluminum is a widely used and applied material in daily life or in the industrial and automotive world. In order to improve the performance and properties of the application to be used, it needed an alloying element to improve the mechanical properties of the aluminum. Aluminum Matrix Composite (AMC) or better known as aluminum matrix composite is one type of material that has great potential to be developed, due to its good combination and properties such as high strength and hardness, low density, low density, capable of good machining, and its basic ingredients are easily found on the market and cheaper than other materials. This research was conducted using the stir casting process to be able to mix all the compositions contained in aluminum matrix composites and to help the distribution of alumina reinforcing particles (Al2O3) and aluminum matrices be evenly distributed. The parameters used in this casting process are varying the volume fraction of the Al2O3 amplifier by 0.5%; 1.5% and 2.5% plus the magnesium content remains 0.9%. The results showed that the addition of Al2O3 can increase the value of hardness and reduce the value of tensile strength. The highest hardness value was 75.3 HRB at the addition of Al2O3 by 2.5% and the lowest tensile strength value was 7.17 Kgf / mm2 with the percentage of Al2O3 addition of 0.5%.

Abstract

Library of National Istitute Of Technology Malang is one of the facilities and infrastructure that provides various services for providing academic information, while there are collections such as research results, papers, articles, theses and postgraduate theses, there is loan transaction data so far not used further. to also explore patterns of information that might be valuable for use in evaluating book collections and other documentation. Researchers have initiated to produce an application that can group visitors and borrowers using the K-Means method, helping librarians to evaluate information on visits and book borrowing in the ITN Malang library. This research is a Research and Development research based on website-based applications, the method used is the K-Means method, for thesis product develope that needed include system only used for computers , the system can only be accessed by ITN Malang library staff. The results of this study are a product in the form of a website application, the product has a feature, namely the system on the website can provide analysis of information on visitors and borrowers, based on functional testing the whole system is successful and running well, based on user testing, it is known that the percentage of respondents is 50% Very Good, 48% Good and 2% Not Good, based on research concluded that all features can run well on the Mozilla Firefox 83.0 and Google Chrome 87.0.4280.88 browsers, based on testing the majority of users rated very well on application usage.

Abstract

Cows are one of the leading commodities in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is Lampung province. From the census data, the population of cattle breeders has resulted in an increase every year. With the understanding of livestock farmers in cultivating beef cattle is still manual, and does not pay attention to the temperature conditions in the cow and around the cow so that it has an impact on reducing the weight of the cow. For this reason, a system is made to monitor cow temperature and environmental temperature in order to facilitate livestock managers in dealing with problems related to cow temperature. In this study, the website-based Inter of Things is implemented using the fuzzy mamdani logic method which is used to determine how long the mini water pump has been running. With this system, livestock managers are expected to be able to monitor environmental temperature and cow temperature, and to keep the cow temperature stable. The hardware used is an Arduino Uno which acts as a controller. System testing is carried out using the MLX90614 sensor to detect cow's body temperature, the DHT11 sensor to detect environmental temperature and humidity, the HC-SR04 sensor to measure water level. The results obtained from testing the MLX90614 sensor at a distance of 3 cm have an average error of 4.2% and an average difference of 1.6 ° C, at a distance of 5cm have an average error of 4.3% and an average difference of 1.7. ° C, at a distance of 10 cm has an average error of 5.2% and an average difference of 2.0 ° C, at a distance of 20 cm it produces an average error of 9.6% and an average difference of 3.6 ° C . DHT11 sensor testing resulted in an average error of 2.4% and an average difference of 0.7 ° C. testing the HC-SR04 sensor resulted in an average error of 5.53% and an average difference of 0.3.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat yang dapat membantu peternak ayam memonitoring dan menjaga suhu, kelembaban, gas ammonia, dan sisa pakan. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan sesnsor DHT22 untuk mendeteksi suhu dan kelembaban , dan sensor MQ137 untuk mendeteksi gas ammonia, dan sensor ultrasonik digunakan untuk mendeteksi sisa pakan ayam. Fuzzy yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fuzzy mamdani.Penerapan logika fuzzy yang digunakan untuk memantau suhu dan kelembaban kandang ayam pada penelitian ini ditempatkan pada source code arduino yang akan mengeluarkan keluaran sesuai dengan aturan atau aturan yang telah ditentukan. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa alat monitoring dan control otomatis untuk para peternak ayam berbasis IoT. Alat ini dapat bekerja dengan baik, dilihat dari real time antara alat yang digunakan dengan data yang dihasilakan sehingga ketika suhu, kelembaban, gas ammonia, dan sisa pakan ada perubahan maka akan langsung terdeteksi oleh alat.
