Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Powerpoint Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Pengurangan Pada Siswa Kelas III SD Dalam Mata Pelajaran Matematika

Abstract

Understanding the concept of subtraction, especially the borrowing technique, remains a challenge for third-grade elementary students. This study aims to develop an interactive PowerPoint-based learning media to enhance students’ understanding of this concept. The research employed a modified ADDIE development model up to the Development stage. The media consists of four main modules: Basic Subtraction, Borrowing Technique, Problem-Solving Application, and Concept Evaluation, integrating multi-representational approaches, interactive features, formative feedback, and gamification elements. Expert validation results indicated that the media was in the "highly appropriate" category, and readability tests showed positive student responses regarding design and usability. Moreover, limited trial results suggested an improvement in students’ conceptual understanding of subtraction. Thus, this interactive PowerPoint media has the potential to serve as an effective alternative in elementary mathematics instruction.Pemahaman konsep pengurangan, khususnya teknik meminjam, masih menjadi tantangan bagi siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis PowerPoint untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dimodifikasi hingga tahap Development. Media yang dikembangkan memuat empat modul utama: Pengurangan Dasar, Teknik Meminjam, Aplikasi Pemecahan Masalah, dan Evaluasi Konsep, dengan pendekatan multirepresentasi, fitur interaktif, umpan balik formatif, serta elemen gamifikasi. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan media berada pada kategori “sangat layak” dan uji keterbacaan siswa menunjukkan respon positif terhadap tampilan dan kemudahan penggunaan. Selain itu, hasil uji coba terbatas mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep pengurangan pada siswa. Dengan demikian, media PowerPoint interaktif ini berpotensi menjadi alternatif efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.
