Literature Review: Media Edutaintment Labirin sebagai Sarana untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa SD

Abstract

Elementary school students' learning interest has been declining due to the increasing prevalence of digital distractions. To address this challenge, the edutainment approach offers a promising solution by combining educational content with engaging, interactive experiences. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of maze media as an edutainment tool to enhance learning interest among elementary students. The method used is a literature review of 10 selected articles that met specific inclusion criteria. The findings show that maze media helps improve students’ problem-solving abilities, increases motivation, and encourages active participation in learning, especially in mathematics. It also facilitates concept understanding through fun and meaningful learning activities. Overall, the study concludes that maze media is a viable and innovative educational alternative that meets the cognitive and emotional needs of elementary school students in the digital era.Minat belajar siswa sekolah dasar terus mengalami penurunan akibat meningkatnya distraksi digital, yang menuntut inovasi pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas media labirin sebagai sarana edutainment dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa SD. Hasil kajian literatur terhadap 10 artikel menunjukkan bahwa media labirin terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterlibatan aktif, dan minat belajar siswa, terutama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Media ini juga dinilai valid dan praktis diterapkan dalam kelas, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa. Penerapan media labirin berbasis digital maupun konvensional juga berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman konsep melalui pengalaman belajar yang partisipatif. Simpulan dari kajian ini adalah bahwa media labirin layak dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, meskipun diperlukan studi lanjutan dengan cakupan yang lebih luas dan pendekatan yang lebih sistematis.
