<![CDATA[ABSTRAKBanyak pihak mengapresiasi peran penting masyarakat lokal dalam pengembangan ekoturisme mangrove di Pulau Bungkutoko. Namun demikian, dari beberapa studi sebelumnya belum ada yang fokus pada persepsi dan sikap penduduk setempat terhadap kegiatan pengembangan dimaksud. Dalam penelitian ini kami melibatkan 47 Kepala Keluaraga, yang kami pilih secara proporsional dari tiga Rukun Warga yang terdapat di Kelurahan Bungkutoko, dalam wawancara semi terstruktur dengan menggunakan lembaran kuesioner sebagai panduan. Hasil temuan pada tahap ini kami perkaya dengan hasil observasi lapangan dan kajian kepustakaan. Adapun variabel dalam studi ini adalah persepsi masyarakat dalam menilai keberadaan, fungsi dan manfaat ekoturisme mangrove Bungkutoko serta persepsi mereka terhadap aspek kebersihan, keindahan, kenyamanan, keamanan dan keramahtamahan pengelola ekowisata tersebut. Secara umum, persepsi dan sikap masyarakat setempat terkait dengan pengembangan ekoturisme mangrove Bungkutoko berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 149 dan 161. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Sikap, Ekoturisme Mangrove, Bungkutoko ABSTRACTThe importance of local community’s supports to the development of mangrove ecotourism in the island of Bungkutoko has been widely recognized. However previous studies have not examined the perception and attitude of the local people to the development. In this study, we engaged a total of 47 households (mainly households heads who have lived in the island for years) proportionally selected from three hamlets through semi structured interviews - questionnaires based. The findings from this stage were enriched by the results of field observation and literature study. The variables of this study are perception of the people of Bungkutoko in valuing the existence, function, and benefits of the mangrove ecotourism and their attitude to the aspects of cleanliness, beauty, amenities, security and hospitality of the management of mangrove ecotourism. We found that in general, the local community’s perception and attitude towards the development of mangrove ecotourism in that island were in good category with the scores of 149 and 161 respectively.
