Abstract

Permainan Scrabble yaitu aktivitas yang melibatkan pengenalan kata seperti papan huruf. Permainan scrabble sangat membantu anak dalam mengenal huruf. Oleh karena itu permasalahan penelitian ini berawal dari salah satu anak usia dini yang belum bisa mengenal huruf yang ibu guru arahkan, peneliti memilih permainan Scrabble agar anak mampu menyebutkan huruf ketika ibu guru arahkan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model desain Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang langkah penelitiannya meliputi rencana, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu kelompok B di KOBER Nurul Falah sebanyak 10 anak, dilakukan dengan dua siklus setiap siklus terdapat tiga kali pertemuan, sehingga menjadi enam kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan metode statistika deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa melalui media scrabble pada anak dengan kategori nilai paling baik yaitu berkembang sangat baik. Terlihat pada kondisi awal/ prasiklus belum terdapat anak dengan kategori nilai bekembang sangat baik. Siklus ke-1 pada pertemuan ketiga sudah terdapat anak dengan kategori nilai berkembang sangat baik dengan persentase 23%. Dan siklus ke-II setiap pertemuan terdapat anak dengan ketegori nilai berkembang sangat baik (BSB) dengan persentase 70%, pertemuan ke dua 77% dan pertemun ketiga 83%.   Scrabble is a learning activity that facilitates letter and word recognition through the use of letter boards and structured play. This medium is effective in supporting early childhood language development, particularly in letter recognition skills. This study was conducted in response to the observation that some children were unable to recognize letters as directed by the teacher. Therefore, Scrabble was selected as a learning medium to assist children in identifying and naming letters accurately. This study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 10 Group B children at KOBER Nurul Falah. The research was conducted in two cycles, with three meetings in each cycle, resulting in a total of six meetings. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques in the form of percentages. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in children’s letter recognition abilities through the use of Scrabble media. In the pre-cycle stage, none of the children achieved the developing very well category. By the third meeting of Cycle I, 23% of the children reached this category. In Cycle II, the improvement continued, with 70% of children achieving the developing very well category in the first meeting, 77% in the second meeting, and 83% in the third meeting. These findings indicate that Scrabble media are effective in enhancing letter recognition skills in early childhood education.
