Tingginya tingkat pengangguran lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar dan kesiapan siswa memasuki dunia kerja masih perlu diperkuat, salah satunya melalui penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara lingkungan sekolah dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Teknik Otomotif di SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel 35 siswa yang dipilih melalui stratified random sampling; data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket skala Likert lima poin dan dianalisis dengan korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap lingkungan sekolah berada pada kategori cukup bagus hingga bagus (mean = 39,71), sedangkan motivasi belajar berada pada kategori cukup tinggi (mean = 52,03), dengan koefisien korelasi 0,523 dan signifikansi 0,001. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penguatan aspek fisik dan sosial lingkungan sekolah berimplikasi langsung pada peningkatan motivasi belajar dalam konteks pendidikan vokasi. The high unemployment rate among graduates of vocational high schools indicates that students’ learning motivation and work readiness still need to be strengthened, partly through the creation of a supportive school environment. This study aims to examine the relationship between the school environment and learning motivation of grade XI students in the Automotive Engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. A quantitative correlational design was employed with 35 students selected using stratified random sampling; data were collected through a five-point Likert questionnaire and analysed using Spearman’s rho correlation. The findings show that students perceive the school environment as ranging from fairly good to good (mean = 39.71), while learning motivation is at a moderately high level (mean = 52.03), with a correlation coefficient of 0.523 and a significance value of 0.001. These results imply that strengthening the physical and social dimensions of the school environment can directly enhance students’ learning motivation in vocational education settings.
