Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena banyak nya kendaraan yang mengalami penurunan kinerja sebab dari usia pemakaian kendaraan, yang mengakibatkan konsumsi bahan bakar pada engine menjadi boros akibat dari kurang nya perawatan, sehingga proses kinerja mesin menjadi tidak sempurna. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar pada suatu kendaraan agar menjadi lebih irit dalam pemakaian bahan bakar dengan memasang Turbo Cyclone Electric, yang akan menjadi objek pada penelitian ini, yaitu Honda Mobilio tahun 2015. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen. Dari pengaruh penggunaan Turbo Cyclone Electric terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar pada mobil, memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dimana thitung lebih besar dari ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5%, dimana hasil uji statistik yang di dapat adalah thitung =41 dan ttabel =12,70, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh konsumsi bahan bakar mobil dari penggunaan Turbo Cyclone Electric pada mobil.    This research was carried out because many vehicles experience a decline in performance due to the age of vehicle use, which can result in wasteful fuel combustion in the engine. This occurs as a result of lack of maintenance on the vehicle, so that the engine performance process becomes imperfect. The aim of this research is to reduce fuel consumption in a vehicle so that it becomes more fuel efficient by installing a Turbo Cyclone Electric on the vehicle that will be the object of this research, namely the 2015 Honda Mobilio. The research method in this research is experimental. The results of testing fuel consumption in this research, from the effect of using the Turbo Cyclone Electric on fuel consumption in cars, have a significant influence where tcount is greater than ttable at the 5% significance level, where the statistical test results obtained are tcount = 41 and ttable = 12.70, it can be concluded that there is an influence on car fuel consumption from using the Turbo Cyclone Electric in the car.

Abstract

Salah satu modifikasi yang dilakukan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan mesin pada sepeda motornya adalah penambahan piggyback. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan piggyback fuel adjuster iquteche pada performa mesin dan pembukaan injektor. Variasi piggyback yang digunakan adalah 5%,10% dan 15%. Hasil Penelitian penurunan terbesar emisi gas buang CO dan HC putaran idle pada variasi 10% sebesar 20,55% dan 35,11%, putaran torsi maksimum pada 15% sebesar 69,13% dan 52,92%, putaran daya maksimum pada variasi 15% juga sebesar 71,01% dan 75,62%. Peningkatan CO2 putaran idle,torsi maksimum, dan daya maksimum pada variasi 15% sebesar 36,82%,9,76% dan 44,87%. Peningkatan daya terbesar pada variasi 15% sebesar 5,10%, peningkatan torsi terbesar pada variasi 10% sebesar 4,34%. Sedangkan pembukaan injektor terbesar variasi 15% saat putaran idle sebesar 13,46% jika dibandingakan dengan kondisi standar. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using piggyback fuel adjuster iquteche on engine performance and injector opening. The piggyback variations used are 5%, 10% and 15%. The results of the study showed the largest decrease in CO and HC exhaust emissions at idle rotation at 10% variation by 35.11% and 20.55%, maximum torque rotation at 15% by 69.13% and 52.92%, maximum power rotation at 15% variation also by 71.01% and 75.62%. Increase in idle rotation CO2, maximum torque, and maximum power at 15% variations of 36.82%, 9.76% and 44.87%. The largest increase in power at the 15% variation was 5.10%, the largest increase in torque at the 10% variation at 4.34%. While the largest injector opening variation of 15% at idle rotation is 13.46 when compared to standard conditions.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan Modul dengan Model Discovery Learning yang valid dan praktis pada mata pelajaran Dasar Dasar Otomotif (DDO). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMKN 1 Batipuh tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu define, design, develop dan sesseminate. Desain dari penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Pengembangan (Research and Development). Populasi penelitian adalah Siswa SMKN 1 Batipuh Kelas X TKR sebanyak 33 orang siswa. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X  TKR., Objek penelitian ini adalah Modul mata pelajaran Dasar Dasar Otomotif (DDO) dengan Model Discovery Learning. Hasil penelitian pada tahap validasi memenuhi kriteria Valid dengan presentase penilaian sebesar 86,26% dan sangat praktis dengan presentase penilaian sebesar 90,88%. Modul Dasar Dasar Otomotif (DDO) dengan Model Discovery Learning memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar pembelajaran di SMK. The purpose of this study was to produce valid and practical Modules with Discovery Learning Models in Basic Automotive subject. This study was conducted at SMKN 1 Batipuh in the 2021/2022 school year with 4 stages of development, namely define, design, develop and sesseminate. The design of this study is Research and Development. The population of this study were 1080 students of SMK N 1 Batipuh. The sample of this study were class X students as many as 33 students, where the object of this research was the Module of Basic Automotive Subject with the Discovery Learning Model. The results of the study at the validation stage met the criteria Valid with a percentage assessment of 86.26% and very practical with a percentage assessment of 90.88%. The Automotive Basics (DDO) Module with the Discovery Learning Model meets the valid and practical criteria for use as one of the teaching materials for vocational school learning.

Abstract

Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menjadi salah satu ciri dari berhasilnya tujuan pendidikan. Keberhasilan tersebut tidak terlepas dari peranan guru. Siswa kejuruan menjalankan pembelajaran praktik dengan harapan membantu meningkatkan kompetensi dan keahlian siswa. Efektiviatas pembelajaran praktik yang disampaikan guru akan memberikan kontribusi yang optimal terhadap capaian hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis keterkaitan efektivitas pembelajaran praktik tehadap hasil belajar siswa. Riset ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian korelatif dengan bantuan analisis data menggunakan SPSS dalam mengolah data. Hasil uji hipotesis yang dilakukan, menghasilkan koefisisen korelasi r hitung (0,910) > r tabel (0,308) dan didapat t hitung (11,979) > t tabel (2,020) dengan α = 0,05. Hasil analisis data menyatakan terdapat hubungan positif dari korelasi efektivitas pembelajaran praktik dan hasil belajar siswa. Improving student learning outcomes is one of the characteristics of successful educational goals. This success cannot be separated from the role of teachers. Vocational students carry out practical learning with the hope of helping to improve student competence and expertise. The effectiveness of practical learning delivered by teachers will provide optimal contribution to the achievement of student learning outcomes. The study aims to analyze the relationship between the effectiveness of practical learning and student learning outcomes. This research is part of a correlative study with the help of data analysis using SPSS in processing data. The results of the hypothesis test conducted, produced a correlation coefficient r count (0.910)> r table (0.308) and obtained t count (11.979)> t table (2.020) with α = 0.05. The results of the data analysis stated that there was a positive relationship between the correlation of the effectiveness of practical learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Dalam pelaksanaan praktikum, sarana dan prasarana memiliki peran yang penting. Diperlukan pengelolaan serta kepatuhan terhadap Standar Nasional. Tujuan dari riset ini, untuk mengevaluasi cara pengelolaan dan tingkat kecocokan fasilitas praktik TBKR di SMK N 2 Payakumbuh. Jenis kajiannya deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif di mana Guru Produktif, Kepala Bengkel TBKR, Kaprog, Wakil Sarpras dan Kepala Sekolah sebagai subjek. Sedangkan objeknya yaitu fasilitas praktik Teknik Bodi Kendaraan Ringan. Tingkat kesesuaian prasarana hasil penelitian adalah sebesar 73%, sedangkan untuk sarana adalah sebesar 29%. Prasarana terbagi menjadi bagian perabot (32%), peralatan (24%), media pendidikan (12,5%), dan perlengkapan lainnya (33%). Sebanyak 51% dari keseluruhan fasilitas di bengkel TBKR memenuhi syarat dan cukup sesuai. In the implementation of practicum, facilities and infrastructure have an important role. Required to manage and comply with National Standards. The goal of the riset, Evaluate the management method and the level of suitability of the Light Vehicle Body Engineering practicum facility at SMK N 2 Payakumbuh. The type of study is descriptive with a qualitative approach in which Productive Teachers, Head of TBKR Workshop, Head of Workshop, Head of Infrastructure, Deputy Sarpras and Principal are the subjects. Meanwhile, the object is the Light Vehicle Body Engineering practicum facility. The level of infrastructure suitability of the research results is 73%, while for facilities it is 29%. Infrastructure is divided into furniture (32%), equipment (24%), educational media (12.5%), and other equipment (33%). As many as 51% of the total facilities at TBKR workshops meet the requirements and are quite suitable.

Abstract

Suhu mesin yang tinggi pada sepeda motor sangat memengaruhi performa dan umur komponen, terutama piston dan dinding silinder. Sistem pendinginan oli yang kurang optimal dapat menyebabkan temperatur oli meningkat dan berisiko menimbulkan overheating. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan oil cooler terhadap suhu mesin pada sepeda motor 4 langkah 115 cc. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan membandingkan suhu mesin sebelum dan sesudah pemasangan oil cooler. Pengukuran dilakukan dalam kondisi operasional yang sama untuk mengetahui efektivitas oil cooler dalam menurunkan suhu mesin pada setiap tingkat putaran. Persentase penurunan suhu tercatat sebesar 2,43% pada 3500 rpm, 1,67% pada 4500 rpm, dan 1,08% pada 7000 rpm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan oil cooler mampu menurunkan suhu oli mesin secara signifikan. Dengan suhu yang lebih stabil, risiko keausan komponen mesin dapat diminimalisir dan performa mesin tetap optimal. Kesimpulannya, oil cooler efektif digunakan sebagai sistem pendinginan tambahan pada sepeda motor 4 langkah 115 cc. High engine temperatures on motorcycles greatly affect the performance and lifespan of components, especially pistons and cylinder walls. A less than optimal oil cooling system can cause oil temperatures to increase and risk overheating. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding an oil cooler on engine temperature on a 4-stroke 115 cc motorcycle. The method used is an experiment by comparing the engine temperature before and after the installation of the oil cooler. Measurements were made under the same operational conditions to determine the effectiveness of the oil cooler in reducing engine temperature at each rotation level. The percentage of temperature reduction was recorded at 2.43% at 3500 rpm, 1.67% at 4500 rpm, and 1.08% at 7000 rpm. The results showed that the addition of an oil cooler was able to significantly reduce the engine oil temperature. With a more stable temperature, the risk of engine component wear can be minimized and engine performance remains optimal. In conclusion, the oil cooler is effectively used as an additional cooling system on a 4-stroke 115 cc motorcycle.

Abstract

Pembelajaran teori Dasar Dasar Otomotif di SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya masih kurang interaktif, sehingga menurunkan keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini mengkaji seberapa baik aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X TKR 2 ditingkatkan dengan model Game Based Learning dengan dukungan Wordwall dan Virtual Reality (VR). Menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Aktivitas meningkat dari 55,4% menjadi 68,5% dan penyelesaian pembelajaran meningkat dari 31,8% menjadi 81,8% dalam dua siklus. SMK disarankan untuk menerapkan pendekatan inovatif ini pada pembelajaran kejuruan karena telah terbukti menghasilkan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan berhasil. The learning of Basic Automotive Theory at SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya is still less interactive, thus reducing student engagement and learning outcomes. This study examines how well the activities and learning outcomes of class X TKR 2 students are improved with the Game Based Learning model supported by Wordwall and Virtual Reality (VR). Using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Kemmis and McTaggart model.Activity increased from 55.4% to 68.5% and learning completion increased from 31.8% to 81.8% in two cycles. Vocational schools are advised to apply this innovative approach to vocational learning because it has been proven to produce more interesting and successful learning.

Abstract

The efficiency of vehicle exhaust systems is critical for reducing backpressure and emissions, enhancing performance and sustainability of harvesting energy. This study investigates the effect of an additional body modification at the exhaust tip on pressure and velocity distributions using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations in SolidWorks. Simulations were conducted at inlet velocities of 10, 15, and 20 m/s. Results show that the modified design does not increase backpressure, with the maximum observed change being a minor reduction of 0.137% at 20 m/s. These findings confirm that the additional body can be safely integrated without adversely affecting engine performance, while also improving downstream flow uniformity. This supports its viability for use in energy harvesting systems and highlights its relevance for sustainable exhaust system development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh pengaktifan VTEC menggunakan alternatif pemasangan VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas terhadap torsi dan daya Honda Accord Cielo 1995 Engine Swap F23A. Penelitian ini membandingkan torsi dan daya VTEC Off (tanpa menggunakan VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas) dengan VTEC On (menggunakan VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan peningkatan torsi dan daya yang signifikan pada Honda Accord Cielo 1995 Engine Swap F23A dengan menggunakan VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas (VTEC On) dengan hasil t hitung=6,3600 untuk torsi, dan t hitung=252,8458  untuk daya yang lebih besar dari t tabel=2,3534. Hasil persentase peningkatan torsi dan daya juga  memuaskan, dengan hasil peningkatan 7,08% untuk torsi dan 68,51% untuk daya. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of activating VTEC using an alternative installation of VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas on the torque and power of Honda Accord Cielo 1995 Engine Swap F23A. This study compares the torque and power of VTEC Off (without using VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas) with VTEC On (using VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas). This research method uses an experimental method. The results of this study showed a significant increase in torque and power in the Honda Accord Cielo 1995 Engine Swap F23A using VTEC Switch Control Pedal Gas (VTEC On) with the results of t counts = 6.3600 for torque, and t counts = 252.8458 for power greater than t table = 2.3534. The results of the percentage increase in torque and power are also satisfactory, with results increasing by 7.08% for torque and 68,51% for power.

Abstract

The implementation of effective learning in vocational high schools requires understanding of students' learning style characteristics to optimize learning outcomes. Basic Automotive Engineering (DDTO) as a foundational subject in automotive engineering has its own complexity in accommodating diverse student learning preferences. This study aims to describe the learning style profile of students, describe the level of learning outcomes, and analyze the relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes in DDTO subject for Class X Light Vehicle Engineering students at SMKN 1 West Sumatra. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with correlational design. Research subjects were 60 students from Class X Light Vehicle Engineering Program at SMKN 1 West Sumatra in academic year 2023/2024, selected using purposive sampling technique. Research instruments consisted of validated learning style questionnaire with 50 items covering visual, auditory, and kinesthetic dimensions, and academic achievement data from Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) scores. Data analysis used descriptive statistics with mean score calculations, frequency distribution, and categorization interpretation. Research findings show: (1) students' learning styles are dominated by kinesthetic style (45%) with high intensity (63.3%), followed by visual style (30%) and auditory style (25%), with Class TKR 1 showing more balanced distribution while Class TKR 2 demonstrates stronger kinesthetic dominance (53.3%); (2) learning outcomes show extreme disparity between Class TKR 1 with 93.33% mastery level (28 out of 30 students) and Class TKR 2 with only 13.33% mastery level (4 out of 30 students), despite both classes having similar learning style patterns, indicating that factors other than learning styles also influence students' academic achievement. Research findings imply the importance of implementing integrated theory-practice learning approaches, developing high-quality technical visual media, and optimizing auditory modalities for specific applications such as engine sound-based diagnosis.
