Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan minyak ikan lemuru dalam pakan dan jus daun Afrika dalam air minum terhadap bobot relatif organ pencernaan puyuh (Coturnix coturnix japonica). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial (RALF) yang terdiri atas dua faktor, yaitu tiga taraf minyak lemuru dalam pakan (0; 1,5; dan 3%) dan tiga taraf jus daun Afrika dalam air minum (0 ml, 3 ml, dan 6 ml). Percobaan ini menggunakan 81 ekor puyuh betina fase layer yang dipelihara secara intensif. Parameter yang di amati dalam riset ini meliputi bobot relatif proventrikulus, ventrikulus, dan usus halus. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis analysist of variance (ANOVA). Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan minyak lemuru dan jus daun Afrika berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap bobot relatif organ pencernaan serta terdapat interaksi antara kedua perlakuan tersebut. Interaksi antara minyak lemuru dan jus daun Afrika menunjukkan respon terbaik pada dosis minyak lemuru 1,5% dalam pakan yang di kombinasikan dengan jus daun afrika dengan dosis 3 ml dalam air minum.Kata kunci: minyak lemuru, daun Afrika, puyuh, organ pencernaan. EVALUATION OF THE ADDITION OF LEMURU OIL IN FEED AND AFRICAN LEAF ANTIOXIDANTS IN DRINKING ON THE RELATIVE WEIGHT RESPONSE OF QUAIL DIGESTIVE ORGANSAbstractThis study aims to evaluate the effect of adding lemuru fish oil in feed and African leaf juice in drinking water on the relative weight of the digestive organs of quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica). The study used a factorial pattern Completely Randomized Design (RALF) consisting of two factors, namely three levels of lemuru oil in feed (0, 1.5, and 3%) and three levels of African leaf juice in drinking water (0 ml, 3 ml, and 6 ml). This experiment used 81 female quails in the layer phase that were intensively maintained. The parameters observed in this study included the relative weight of the proventriculus, ventriculus, and small intestine. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The study showed that the addition of lemuru oil and African leaf juice had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the relative weight of the digestive organs, and there was an interaction between the two treatments. The interaction between lemuru oil and African leaf juice showed the best response at a dose of 1.5% lemuru oil in feed combined with African leaf juice at a dose of 3 ml in drinking water.Keywords: lemuru fish oil; African leaf; quail; digestive organs.
