Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah upaya penguatan membentuk karakter peduli sosial pada remaja adalah melalui kegiatan jumat beramal di sekolah. Studi ini menggambarkan dan menganalisis peran kegiatan Jumat Beramal dalam menguatkan karakter peduli sosial siswa di SMAN 4 Sungai Kakap. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan Jumat Beramal memberikan manfaat konkret bagi masyarakat penerima bantuan dan menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan dalam sikap dan nilai-nilai siswa, seperti empati, kepedulian, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Integrasi kegiatan Jumat Beramal ke dalam kurikulum sekolah penting untuk membentuk karakter siswa dan membawa dampak positif jangka panjang pada kesejahteraan sosial. Keberhasilan kegiatan Jumat Beramal di SMAN 4 Sungai Kakap memberikan contoh inspiratif bagi sekolah-sekolah lain untuk mengadopsi program serupa, yang akan membangun budaya kepedulian sosial yang lebih luas di kalangan generasi muda. Dengan demikian, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kegiatan Jumat Beramal memiliki potensi besar untuk membentuk generasi muda yang peduli dan bertanggung jawab terhadap kesejahteraan sosial secara keseluruhan.   The purpose of this research is an effort to strengthen the formation of social care character in adolescents through charity Friday activities at school. This study describes and analyzes the role of Friday Charity activities in strengthening the character of social care of students at SMAN 4 Sungai Kakap. This study depicts and analyzes the role of Jumat Beramal activities in strengthening the social care character of students at SMAN 4 Sungai Kakap. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that Jumat Beramal activities provide concrete benefits to the recipient community and result in a significant improvement in students' attitudes and values, such as empathy, concern, and social responsibility. Integrating Jumat Beramal activities into the school curriculum is essential for shaping students' character and bringing long-term positive impacts on social welfare. The success of Jumat Beramal activities at SMAN 4 Sungai Kakap sets an inspirational example for other schools to adopt similar programs, which will foster a broader culture of social care among the younger generation. Thus, the conclusion of this research is that Jumat Beramal activities have great potential to shape a caring and responsible younger generation towards overall social welfare.
