Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep dan aplikasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah melalui pendekatan Contextual Action Learning. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada meningkatnya fenomena degradasi moral di kalangan peserta didik, khususnya siswa SMP, yang ditandai dengan berbagai kasus kenakalan remaja, kekerasan, dan pelanggaran nilai-nilai sosial. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan telaah studi literatur yang bersumber dari publikasi ilmiah, dokumen kebijakan, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan upaya sistematis untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai luhur bangsa yang berlandaskan Pancasila dan UUD 1945, yang meliputi dimensi olah hati, olah pikir, olah raga, dan olah rasa/karsa. Pendekatan kontekstual dinilai efektif karena mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan situasi nyata, memadukan penguasaan kognitif dengan internalisasi nilai, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif peserta didik. Integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler, kokurikuler, dan ekstrakurikuler memperkuat pembentukan kepribadian peserta didik secara holistik. Penerapan Action Learning melalui proyek sosial, simulasi, dan kerja sama tim terbukti mampu melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis, pengambilan keputusan etis, dan perilaku bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Contextual Action Learning merupakan strategi yang relevan dan adaptif untuk mewujudkan profil Pelajar Pancasila yang berkarakter, kompeten, dan berdaya saing global. This study aims to analyze the concept and application of character education in schools through the Contextual Action Learning approach. The research background is rooted in the growing phenomenon of moral degradation among students, particularly at the junior high school level, as reflected in various cases of juvenile delinquency, violence, and violations of social values. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review based on scholarly publications, policy documents, and previous research findings. The study reveals that character education is a systematic effort to instill the nation’s noble values grounded in Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, encompassing the dimensions of moral reasoning (olah hati), intellectual development (olah pikir), physical development (olah raga), and emotional-volitional development (olah rasa/karsa). The contextual approach is considered effective as it connects learning with real-life situations, integrates cognitive mastery with value internalization, and fosters active student participation. The integration of character education into intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities strengthen the holistic development of students’ personalities. The implementation of Action Learning through social projects, simulations, and teamwork has been proven to cultivate critical thinking skills, ethical decision-making, and responsible behavior. This study affirms that Contextual Action Learning is a relevant and adaptive strategy to foster the Pancasila Profil Pelajar Pancasia who are of strong character, competent, and globally competitive.
