<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the results of learning to read English recount texts using the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model for grade IX students of SMP Negeri 6 Tangerang Selatan City in the 2017/2018 academic year. The approach uses descriptive qualitative with classroom action research methods. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The results of the research in cycle one and cycle two increased by 12%. Furthermore, classical completeness in cycle one and cycle two there was an increase of 57.9%. At the level of student activity there is an increase of 16.67%. In conclusion, the results of learning to read English recount texts using the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model for grade IX students of SMP Negeri 6 Tangerang Selatan City have improved very well.Keywords: Learning Outcomes of Reading Recount Text in English; STAD Type Cooperative Learning ModelABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar membaca teks recount bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 6 Kota Tangerang Selatan Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Pendekatannya menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian pada siklus satu dan siklus dua mengalami peningkatan sebesar 12%. Selanjutnya ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus satu dan siklus dua terdapat peningkatan sebesar 57,9%. Pada tingkat aktivitas siswa terdapat peningkatan sebesar 16,67%.
