Penerapan Media Racetrac Science Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar IPA Pada Pokok Bahasan Cahaya, Lensa, Cermin Dan Alat Optik

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the increase in science learning achievement on the subject of light, lenses, mirrors and optical devices using Racetrack Science as the media. The research was conducted on Class VIII-1 students at SMP Negeri 10 Tangerang Selatan City using experimental techniques. Developmental data obtained through observation of attitudes and evaluation of learning outcomes. The main instrument in this study used the Student Worksheet and attitude observation sheets. The indicator of student success is science learning achievement above the KKM (75). The average science learning achievement at the beginning of the cycle was 54.33, cycle 1 was 61.75, cycle 2 was 70.72, and cycle 3 was 80.19. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that Science Learning Achievement can be improved by using Racetrack Science media, on the subject of light, lenses, mirrors and optical instruments. The results of this Classroom Action Research can be used as reference material to improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Media; Light; Learning outcomes ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar IPA pada pokok bahasan cahaya, lensa, cermin dan alat optik dengan menggunakan media Racetrack Science (Pacuan Kuda Sains). Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa Kelas VIII-1 di SMP Negeri 10 Kota Tangeramg Selatan mengunakan teknik eksperimen. Data perkembangan diperoleh melalui observasi sikap dan evaluasi hasil belajar. Instrumen utama dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Lembar Kerja Siswa dan lembar observasi sikap. Indikator keberhasilan siswa adalah prestasi belajar IPA di atas KKM (75). Rata-rata prestasi belajar IPA diawal siklus sebesar 54,33, siklus 1 sebesar 61,75, siklus 2 sebesar 70,72, dan siklus 3 sebesar 80,19. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa Prestasi Belajar IPA dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan media Racetrack Science (Pacuan Kuda Sains), pada pokok bahasan cahaya, lensa, cermin dan alat optik.  Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dapat dijadikan bahan referensi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci:  Media; Cahaya; Hasil Belajar
