<![CDATA[Education is the key to forming quality human resources, with education it will shape the nation's character and dignity which will make the nation's life more intelligent. In education, teachers have a very significant role in forming quality human resources, organizing learning that will be applied in learning, especially the Problem Based Learning learning model, this learning model is learning by solving problems in a structured manner, this research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model in learning for class IX students at Unismuh Makassar Middle School. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles which included planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The results of this research showed an increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the Problem Based Learning model. In the first cycle, the students' average score was 71.00. In the second cycle the students' average score increased to 85.92. This increase shows the effect of implementing the problem based learning model which can encourage students' ability to think critically, and students will be more active in learning which will improve student learning outcomes.]]>
