This research examines the implementation of TikTok as a learning medium to enhance students' literacy skills in Indonesian language learning at SD Negeri Genuksari 02. The phenomenon of many fifth-grade students actively using TikTok forms the background of this research, which aims to describe the effectiveness of TikTok in improving story retelling skills and identify its strengths and weaknesses. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that TikTok usage significantly increased student engagement and enthusiasm, with 53.6% of students achieving the "Maximized and understanding" category in literacy skills. The advantages of implementing TikTok include increased learning motivation and efficient material delivery, while its drawbacks encompass potential focus disruption and monotony. It is concluded that TikTok can be an effective tool for enhancing students' literacy skills when implemented with appropriate pedagogical approaches, accompanied by close supervision and collaborative learning strategies.
