This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Discovery Learning learning model in Indonesian language learning in grade V at SD Negeri 066048 Helvetia. This classroom action research consists of 2 cycles with the research subjects of grade V students of SD Negeri 066048 Helvetia as many as 22 students. Based on the research results obtained, it shows an increase in student learning outcomes. The results of the study in cycle I, students who got a passing grade were 10 students or 45.45%, while students who did not pass were 12 people or 54.54%. In cycle II, students who met the passing criteria were 18 people or 81.81%, while students who did not pass were 4 people or 18.18% with an average score of 77. The increase in learning outcomes occurred after improvements in actions in cycle II. The action was stopped in cycle II because it had reached the success criteria, thus it was concluded that implementing the Discovery Learning learning model could improve student learning outcomes
