Truancy behavior is one of the disciplinary problems that often occurs in the pesantren environment and can hinder the educational process and character building of santri. The goal of this study is to examine factors that cause female santri truanting and evaluate the effectiveness of positive reinforcement in behavioral counseling at Daarul Falah Islamic Boarding School. The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, involving five santriwati participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results showed that truancy was caused by internal factors, such as boredom and lack of motivation, as well as external factors, such as the influence of friends, inconsistent teaching, and minimal infrastructure. Spiritual and social rewards are used to implement positive reinforcement. The evaluation results showed very high effectiveness; all participants achieved greater attendance than before. This study proves that spiritual and socially based positive reinforcement is an effective strategy for improving the attendance of santriwati in the context of pesantren.
