<![CDATA[This research aims to find out how the adjustment and emotional maturity of couples who marry at an early age in Banguntapan District is, as explained in Article 7 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 1974 which states the "age limit for marriage". marriage if the man is married.” reaches the age of 19 years and the woman has reached the age of 16 years." The research method used in this research is a quantitative method, with research subjects as many as 76 couples who married at a young age in Banguntapan District. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. This research was carried out using product moment correlation and obtained a correlation result of 0.941 with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.01), these results indicate that there is a positive and very significant relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment. The hypothesis proposed by the researcher was accepted. Emotional maturity makes an effective contribution of 88.5% to self-adjustment, and 11.5% is influenced by other factors such as environmental, educational, parental, economic and cultural factors.]]>
