Children prefer accessing digital games via smartphones over traditional games. This phenomenon occurs not only in large cities but also in remote areas of Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to determine teachers' planning for developing communication and collaboration skills, to determine the implementation stages of developing communication and collaboration skills, and to determine teachers' strategies for developing communication and collaboration skills in Rawu Elementary School students. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collected in this study included interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the teachers' planning was structured and appropriate to students' needs. Furthermore, the implementation stages of the traditional game Gobak Sodor improved communication and collaboration skills. The strategies developed by the teachers to improve communication and collaboration skills were effective.
