INOVASI PEMBELAJARAN BERKELANJUTAN MELALUI PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH KOPI SEBAGAI PEWARNA BATIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS DAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN SISWA

Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia sebagai produsen kopi besar menghadapi permasalahan limbah ampas kopi yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan, meskipun memiliki kandungan tanin dan polifenol sebagai pewarna alami. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan pembelajaran berkelanjutan melalui pemanfaatan limbah kopi sebagai pewarna batik untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, workshop, dan praktikum pembuatan batik kopi dengan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Bululawang, Kabupaten Malang, melibatkan 35 siswa dan 3 guru pendamping. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi produk, angket pemahaman sejumlah 15 soal, dan refleksi peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan 88% siswa memahami konsep pembelajaran berkelanjutan, 85% mampu menghasilkan pewarna kopi dengan kualitas warna stabil, dan 82% siswa tertarik mengembangkan batik kopi sebagai produk wirausaha sekolah. Program ini meningkatkan kreativitas, keterampilan praktis, serta kesadaran ekonomi kreatif berbasis potensi lokal.Abstract: Indonesia, as a major coffee producer, faces the problem of coffee grounds waste that has the potential to pollute the environment, despite containing tannins and polyphenols that can be utilized as natural dyes. This community service activity aims to develop sustainable learning through the utilization of coffee waste as a batik dye to enhance students’ creativity and entrepreneurial skills. The methods used include socialization, workshops, and practical sessions on making coffee-dyed batik using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The activity was conducted in Bululawang, Malang Regency, involving 35 students and 3 supervising teachers. Evaluation was carried out through product observation, a 15-item understanding questionnaire, and participant reflection. The results showed that 88% of students understood the concept of sustainable learning, 85% were able to produce coffee dye with stable color quality, and 82% of students were interested in developing coffee batik as a school entrepreneurship product. This program enhanced students’ creativity, practical skills, and awareness of the creative economy based on local potential.
