This study aims to determine the effect of the school environment on students' learning interest in Islamic Education (PAI) at SMP Puja Handayani Palembang. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The sample consists of 50 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques include observation and questionnaires using a Likert scale of 1–5 consisting of 20 statements. Data analysis was conducted through validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, correlation, and simple linear regression. The results show that the school environment is categorized as good with a mean score of 3.78, while students’ learning interest in Islamic Education (PAI) is categorized as fairly high with a mean score of 3.65. The correlation test indicates a strong relationship between the school environment and learning interest in PAI with a coefficient of 0.68. The regression analysis shows that the school environment has a positive effect on students' learning interest in PAI with the equation Y = 12.35 + 0.56X. The hypothesis test shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the school environment significantly affects students' learning interest in Islamic Education (PAI). The contribution of the school environment to learning interest is 46%, while the remaining 54% is influenced by other factors outside this study.
