<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the strategic role of teachers as the spearhead of education whose performance is greatly influenced by the quality of principal leadership in the public high schools in Sungai Lilin District. The problem focuses on the extent to which leadership effectiveness contributes to the achievement of teacher professionalism in managing learning optimally. This study applies a quantitative descriptive correlational approach involving a population of 95 teachers through a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using simple linear regression through SPSS software. The results of the analysis indicate a positive and significant influence of leadership effectiveness on teacher performance with a regression coefficient value of 0.435, a calculated t value of 3.579, and a significance of 0.001. The research findings confirm that the leadership variable provides a real contribution of 13.1 percent to the variation in teacher performance in the field. The main conclusion of the study confirms that efforts to systematically improve the effectiveness of principal leadership will have a direct impact on improving teacher performance in schools. Although there are other factors that also influence, strengthening a communicative and supportive leadership style remains a vital instrument in creating a conducive work ecosystem for achieving more optimal and sustainable education quality in the future for all school components in the region in an integrative and comprehensive manner. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peran strategis guru sebagai ujung tombak pendidikan yang kinerjanya sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di lingkungan SMA Negeri se-Kecamatan Sungai Lilin. Masalah difokuskan pada sejauh mana efektivitas kepemimpinan berkontribusi terhadap capaian profesionalisme guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran secara optimal. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional dengan melibatkan populasi sebanyak 95 guru melalui teknik pengambilan sampel total. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner skala Likert yang telah teruji validitas serta reliabilitasnya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana melalui perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif serta signifikan dari efektivitas kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,435, nilai t hitung 3,579, serta signifikansi 0,001. Temuan riset mengonfirmasi bahwa variabel kepemimpinan memberikan kontribusi nyata sebesar 13,1 persen terhadap variasi kinerja guru di lapangan. Simpulan utama penelitian menegaskan bahwa upaya peningkatan efektivitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara sistematis akan berdampak langsung pada perbaikan kinerja guru di sekolah. Meskipun terdapat faktor lain yang turut berpengaruh, penguatan gaya kepemimpinan yang komunikatif dan suportif tetap menjadi instrumen vital dalam menciptakan ekosistem kerja yang kondusif demi tercapainya mutu pendidikan yang lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan di masa depan bagi seluruh komponen sekolah di wilayah tersebut secara integratif dan komprehensif. ]]>
