Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe learning strategies in teaching and dealing with slow learners. Various factors cause children to be slow learners, possibly from inappropriate parental education and can be high fever since infancy. This study uses a qualitative method to explore the shortcomings or challenges of each slow learner in the inclusive school. Signs of children's learning development are identified from the time they enter early school such as PG (playground) or TK (Kindergarten). Detecting slowdowns or disorders in growth and development can affect the development of the child's brain in learning. The stages in dealing with slow learners start from investigating the causes of slow learners, creating comfortable learning circles, making basic or small part assignments, using teaching methods until finding the right teaching method for slow learners and providing assistance such as accompanying teachers if needed. Teachers must study the strengths and weaknesses of each student in one class. Both regular children and children with special needs. The teacher's job is to accompany and direct students to become better individuals in the future.
