EVALUASI OPTIMALISASI PENCAHAYAAN BUATAN RUANG LAB PERANCANGAN ARSITEKTUR UNIVERSITAS SAMRATULANGI BERDASARKAN SNI MENGGUNAKAN SIMULASI DIALUXEVO

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to evaluate and optimize the artificial lighting system in the Architectural Design Lab Room of Sam Ratulangi University based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) using DIALux Evo simulation. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach through three-dimensional modeling of the laboratory space, measuring existing conditions, and analyzing photometric parameters including illuminance levels, lighting evenness (Uniformity/U0), lighting power density (LPD), and energy saving potential. The simulation results show that the student work area has an average illuminance level of 514–517 lux, thus meeting the SNI 03-6575:2001 standard for laboratory spaces and design studios. The lighting distribution is also relatively even with a good evenness value so that it can support user visual comfort. However, the evaluation results show that the lighting power density in the work area reaches 19.6 W/m², exceeding the maximum energy conservation limit according to SNI 6197:2020, which is 15 W/m². Energy simulations indicate potential savings of 461 kWh/year through the implementation of optimization strategies. Recommendations include the use of high-efficiency LED lamps, the implementation of a zoning-based control system, and the integration of natural lighting through daylight harvesting. This study demonstrates that ideal laboratory lighting should not only focus on visual comfort but also consider energy efficiency and building sustainability principles. ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan mengoptimalkan sistem pencahayaan buatan pada Ruang Lab Perancangan Arsitektur Universitas Sam Ratulangi berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) menggunakan simulasi DIALux Evo. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pemodelan tiga dimensi ruang laboratorium, pengukuran kondisi eksisting, serta analisis parameter fotometri yang meliputi tingkat iluminansi, kemerataan pencahayaan (Uniformity/U0), kepadatan daya pencahayaan (Lighting Power Density/LPD), dan potensi penghematan energi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa area kerja mahasiswa memiliki tingkat iluminansi rata-rata sebesar 514–517 lux sehingga telah memenuhi standar SNI 03-6575:2001 untuk ruang laboratorium dan studio perancangan. Distribusi pencahayaan juga tergolong merata dengan nilai kemerataan yang baik sehingga mampu mendukung kenyamanan visual pengguna. Namun demikian, hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan daya pencahayaan pada area kerja mencapai 19,6 W/m², melebihi batas maksimal konservasi energi menurut SNI 6197:2020 yaitu 15 W/m². Simulasi energi menunjukkan adanya potensi penghematan sebesar 461 kWh/tahun melalui penerapan strategi optimalisasi. Rekomendasi yang diajukan meliputi penggunaan lampu LED berefikasi tinggi, penerapan sistem kontrol berbasis zonasi, serta integrasi pencahayaan alami melalui konsep daylight harvesting. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pencahayaan laboratorium yang ideal tidak hanya berfokus pada kenyamanan visual, tetapi juga harus mempertimbangkan efisiensi energi dan prinsip keberlanjutan bangunan.
