<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of traditional guidance services in teaching good manners to class VIII students through the use of sociodrama techniques. This type of research is a quantitative research. The research subjects were VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Mataram and used the pre-experimental one group design pre-test post-test method. This research used polite behavior questionnaire as the instrument. The mean score of students in the experimental class was 141 (72.3%) based on the pre-test results, and 161 (82.6%) based on the post-test results. The research findings indicate that students' polite behavior can be effectively developed through the use of sociodrama techniques in traditional guidance services. Guidance and counseling educators are advised to use the sociodrama approach with traditional guidance services to foster polite behavior in their students. In addition to helping students develop good manners, parents are also expected to be able to monitor their behavior in the community. Students are required to learn appropriate behavior both inside and outside the classroom.]]>
