<![CDATA[This research seeks to analyze, from a theological perspective, the importance of the quality of Christian Religious Education teachers in shaping students’ character based on James 3:1. The background of this study stems from the urgent need for teachers who possess integrity, strong spiritual competence, and the ability to serve as moral and spiritual role models for students. In many educational contexts, the poor quality of teachers remains a critical issue that contributes to the inadequate development of students’ Christian character, particularly in terms of faith formation, moral behavior, and spiritual growth. This study employs a qualitative research approach using literature review methods, biblical text analysis, and theological interpretation to examine the relationship between teacher quality and character formation. The findings indicate that the quality of Christian Religious Education teachers plays a significant role in shaping students’ faith, morality, and spirituality, as teachers function not only as knowledge transmitters but also as spiritual guides. Therefore, the study concludes that improving teacher quality through continuous competence development, strengthening personal integrity, and enhancing exemplary conduct is essential. Such efforts are necessary to ensure that Christian Religious Education becomes more relevant, transformative, and sustainable in guiding students’ character formation.]]>
