The changes that occurred in the punk lifestyle, which previously had a negative stigma, evolved thanks to one punk community that tried to change their lifestyle for the better, which is the main focus of this research. Religion helps them express a new identity. They want to show that punk kids also have religious beliefs, and they want to change the negative stigma surrounding punk kids, who have long been considered a deviant group. They engage in various religious activities in the community as a symbolic way to communicate with the public and try to demonstrate their new identity as true punks. This research aims to describe and analyze the communication strategies of the Punk community to create a positive image in society. This research uses a phenomenological method with data collection techniques from observation results, documentation, and informant interviews. The results of this study indicate that this Punk community is demonstrating their new identity thru religion, resulting in a positive image. The Punk community uses symbolic communication to society by establishing communicators, setting target audiences, crafting messages, and utilizing social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook to reach the public. Almost all communication activities are carried out symbolically to change negative perceptions of punk by using various religious social action practices.
