STUDI KEBUTUHAN PENGEMBANGAN BUKU SAKU “TRUE TIMING” SEBAGAI MEDIA LAYANAN INFORMASI PENCEGAHAN PERNIKAHAN ANAK

Abstract

ABSTRACT The phenomenon of child marriage still found in school environments indicates the importance of providing information service media to support prevention efforts effectively and sustainably. However, information services on child marriage prevention continue to face limitations in practical, engaging, and independently accessible educational media, while previous studies have primarily focused on counseling and conceptual discussions rather than developing user needs-based information media. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the needs for developing child marriage prevention information service media as the basis for designing the “True Timing” pocketbook at SMA Negeri 20 Gowa. This study employed a needs assessment approach using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The participants consisted of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers and 29 students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and Likert-scale questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings revealed that BK services had not been optimally implemented due to limited time and inadequate supporting media. BK teachers required practical and engaging media, while students needed visual media that were easy to understand and suitable for independent learning. Students’ need for information media reached 95%, indicating the importance of developing user needs-based information media to support child marriage prevention efforts in schools. ABSTRAK Fenomena pernikahan anak yang masih ditemukan di lingkungan sekolah menunjukkan pentingnya penyediaan media layanan informasi yang mampu mendukung upaya pencegahan secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Namun, layanan informasi mengenai pencegahan pernikahan anak masih menghadapi keterbatasan media edukasi yang praktis, menarik, dan dapat diakses secara mandiri oleh murid, sementara penelitian sebelumnya lebih banyak berfokus pada penyuluhan dan kajian konseptual dibandingkan pengembangan media berbasis kebutuhan pengguna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengembangan media layanan informasi pencegahan pernikahan anak sebagai dasar perancangan buku saku “True Timing” di SMA Negeri 20 Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis kebutuhan (need assessment) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) serta 29 murid. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dan angket skala Likert, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan BK belum optimal akibat keterbatasan waktu dan minimnya media pendukung. Guru BK membutuhkan media yang praktis dan menarik, sedangkan murid membutuhkan media visual yang mudah dipahami dan dapat dipelajari mandiri. Tingkat kebutuhan murid terhadap media informasi mencapai 95%, sehingga hasil penelitian menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan media layanan informasi berbasis kebutuhan pengguna untuk mendukung pencegahan pernikahan anak di sekolah.
