This study aims to describe records management and administrative services at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal Regency. This qualitative study utilises data obtained through interviews and observation. The informants in this study were the headteacher, administrative staff, class teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that records management in improving administrative services is considered to be good, in line with the findings from the planning stage through to the evaluation of records management. Furthermore, administrative services have proven to be effective and efficient, as evidenced by the implementation of records management that aligns with the school’s needs and circumstances. The findings of this study underscore the importance of modernising the records management system and optimising administrative services in a way that is both contextually appropriate and sustainable.
