Abstract

ABSTRACTSuboptimal management of household organic waste remains an environmental challenge in rural areas, particularly in Sigumpar Village. The accumulation of unprocessed fruit and vegetable waste poses a risk of environmental pollution and degrading the quality of local river water. This community service program aims to educate and train the community in transforming organic waste into eco-enzymes through fermentation techniques, while simultaneously restoring river water quality. The implementation method was carried out through direct practical mentoring involving 10 community participants. The activity results showed that the community successfully produced approximately 40 liters of eco-enzyme liquid from household waste, and 90% of the community understood how to make eco-enzymes. The program evaluation was conducted descriptively by monitoring the production process, participant enthusiasm, and the initial condition of the river flow as the target application of the product. Keywords: Organic Waste; Ecoenzymes; River Quality.
