This article aims to analyze the implementation of the muqaran method in Muhammad Ali ash-Shabuni's book Rawai'ul Bayan with a focus on the interpretation of Surah Al-Baqarah verse 228. The main problem of this research is how a comparative approach is used to bridge the dualism of the meaning of the quru' vocabulary and the differences in the views of the schools of thought in Islamic family law. The research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach through content analysis of the tafsir text as a primary source and classical-contemporary tafsir literature as a secondary source. The results show that ash-Shabuni applies linguistic, grammatical, and hadith comparisons systematically, then carries out a tarjih process based on the principle of legal prudence. This approach not only produces legal certainty but also demonstrates a moderate attitude in responding to differences in schools of thought. This research contributes to strengthening the methodology of comparative tafsir in the study of contemporary Islamic family law and demonstrates the relevance of the muqaran method as an instrument of interpretative reconciliation.
