<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Deep Learning approach assisted by Powtoon animation media on the ability to write anecdotal texts of class X students of SMK Parulian 1 Medan. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental design of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 26 students selected with certain techniques according to research needs. The data collection technique was carried out using an anecdotal text writing ability test given before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). In addition, the research instrument has gone through a validation process to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of the data obtained. The data obtained were then analyzed using a normality test to determine the distribution of data and a hypothesis test using a t-test to determine the effect of the treatment given. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' ability to write anecdotal texts after being given treatment using the Deep Learning approach assisted by Powtoon animation media. This can be seen from the comparison of the average pretest and posttest scores, which experienced a significant increase. Based on the results of the t-test calculation, the t-hitung value was 6.840 while the table value was 2.059 at a significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) = 25. Because t-hitung > t-tabel, the null hypothesis (H?) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H?) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Deep Learning approach assisted by Powtoon animation media has a significant effect on the ability to write anecdotal texts of class X students of SMK Parulian 1 Medan.]]>
