Abstract

The Campus Literacy Generation Program is a community service initiative aimed at improving high school students' understanding of higher education literacy, particularly regarding the higher education system, admission procedures, major selection, and career opportunities. This activity was conducted at SMAN 5 North Gorontalo, involving 50 students from grades 11 and 12. The methods used included outreach, training, interactive discussions, major selection simulations, and experience sharing sessions. The activity was assessed using pre- and post-tests, as well as questionnaires to gauge participant responses. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in student literacy levels. The average pre-test score increased from 50.2 to 83.8 in the post-test, representing a 66.9% increase. The highest increases were recorded in understanding how to enter higher education (76.0%) and matching interests and talents (73.9%). Furthermore, participant responses to this activity were deemed very good, with an average score of 4.6, with motivation to continue higher education receiving the highest score of 4.8. From these results, it can be concluded that the Campus Literacy Generation Program is effective in increasing students' knowledge and motivation regarding higher education. This program also has the potential to be implemented in other schools to improve students' access and readiness to continue their education to the higher education level.
