<![CDATA[Emotional regulation is an important thing that adolescents need to have in facing social pressure, thi is the basis behind this research. This study aims to determine the relationship between parent attachment and emotion regulation in adolescents in Payakumbuh city. This research is quantitative. The population in this study were adolescents aged 15-18 living in Payakumbuh city, with a sample of 114. Data analysis used Spearman’s rho correlation. The result of the hypothesis test showed a correlation coefficient of -0.036 with a significance level of p=0.724 (p > 0.05), meaning H0 is accepted and Ha is a rejected. Based on these results, this study found no significant relationship between parent attachment and regulation emotion in adolescents in Payakumbuh city. Thus, parent attachment is not a primary factor influencing emotion regulation in adolescents.]]>
