Abstract

AbstractThis study analyzes the representation of the eight Graduate Profile dimensions—faith and piety toward God Almighty, citizenship, critical reasoning, creativity, collaboration, independence, health, and communication—as mandated by Permendikdasmen No. 10 of 2025, within the Grade V Indonesian Language Textbook Revised 2024 of the Independent Curriculum. Employing a qualitative content analysis design, a validated coding instrument based on the regulation's operational indicators was used to systematically identify, quantify, and assess the integration quality of each dimension across all textual content types. The findings reveal that while all eight dimensions are present in the textbook, their distribution is markedly uneven. Critical reasoning (20.49%) and communication (18.54%) dominate, whereas health (4.88%), collaboration (8.78%), and citizenship (9.76%) are significantly underrepresented. The health dimension, newly introduced by the 2025 regulation, appears in only ten instances across the entire textbook and lacks dedicated learning activities. Integration quality varies substantially: critical reasoning and communication are rated high, independence, creativity, and faith and piety are medium, while citizenship, collaboration, and health are low. These results highlight a pronounced cognitive bias and an urgent need for textbook revision to ensure balanced representation of all dimensions, particularly health literacy, global citizenship, and structured collaboration. The study provides the first empirical evidence of textbook alignment with the new Graduate Profile standards and offers a replicable methodology for future instructional material evaluation.
