The use of manual water dispensers in hospitals is highly susceptible to cross-contamination risks and presents various logistical operational challenges. To prevent nosocomial infections, this study proposes the design of an automatic drinking water dispenser utilizing a microcontroller and non-contact sensors (ultrasonic and infrared) in healthcare facilities. This smart system ensures the water dispensing process occurs without direct physical contact and can be integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) for remote monitoring. The implementation of this automatic dispenser is evaluated to minimize the risk of disease transmission, enhance operational efficiency, and serve as an innovative alternative for maintaining hygienic service standards in hospitals.
