(1) determine the level of adolescents’ self-regulation in Kampung Perawang Barat; (2) determine the level of parental obedience among adolescents in Kampung Perawang Barat; and (3) determine the effect of self-regulation on parental obedience among adolescents in the area. This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. The population consisted of 12,550 adolescents aged 14–18 years in Kampung Perawang Barat. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula with a 10% error rate, resulting in a sample of 100 respondents. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results showed that the level of adolescents’ self-regulation was in the very high category with a mean score of 4.27, while parental obedience was also in the very high category with a mean score of 4.93. Furthermore, there was a positive and significant effect of self-regulation on parental obedience with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The correlation coefficient (R) was 0.764, indicating a strong positive relationship between the two variables. The contribution of self-regulation to parental obedience was 58.4% and was categorized as moderate, while the remaining 41.6% was influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings indicate that self-regulation is an important factor in shaping adolescents’ obedience toward their parents.
