Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an essential component in preventing environment-based diseases among school-age children. Waste management and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) prevention remain key challenges in school settings. This community service aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an interactive educational approach integrating socialization, practical demonstrations, and edutainment methods in improving students’ knowledge of waste management and DHF prevention at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Syafian Hafiyya, Ogan Ilir Regency. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach was applied to 33 students from grades 2 to 4. The intervention combined Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) with edutainment strategies, including animated presentation, educational songs, hands-on waste sorting practices, and identification of mosquito breeding sites. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and behavioral observations, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge of waste management (mean score increased from 7.48 to 7.97; p=0.007) and DHF prevention (mean score increased from 7.42 to 8.70; p=0.000). More than 60% of students demonstrated positive behavioral changes, including proper waste sorting and the ability to identify mosquito breeding sites. This study concludes that participatory and experience-based edutainment approaches are effective in improving knowledge and promoting healthy behaviors among primary school students.
