<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the impact of gadget use on the social development of early childhood at KB Pelita Hati Munggugianti. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The research subjects consisted of early childhood students at KB Pelita Hati Munggugianti. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis to describe the condition of gadget use and children’s social development. The results showed that most children used gadgets with relatively high intensity, ranging from 1–3 hours per day, while some children used gadgets for more than 3 hours daily. Children with higher gadget use intensity tended to demonstrate lower social interaction skills, such as reduced communication abilities, low participation in group activities, and a tendency to play alone. Nevertheless, gadget use does not always produce negative effects when it is used in limited duration and under the supervision of parents and teachers. This study concludes that gadget use has an influence on the social development of early childhood, therefore proper guidance and supervision are necessary to ensure that digital technology provides positive benefits for children’s development.]]>
