Abstract

Labor productivity is a key factor determining the success of construction projects, as it directly impacts costs, quality, and project duration. For reinforced concrete structural works—such as columns, beams, and floor slabs—labor productivity is particularly critical because these tasks lie on the project's critical path. In Indonesian construction practice, labor requirements are typically calculated using the Unit Price Analysis (AHSP) standards issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). However, actual on-site productivity often differs from the standard productivity rates used in the AHSP. This study aims to analyze the discrepancies between actual productivity coefficients and the PUPR AHSP labor coefficients, as well as to identify the factors influencing labor productivity in column, beam, and slab construction. The research employs a quantitative approach involving field observations, actual productivity calculations, multiple regression analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) modeling. The research variables include labor competence, human resource management, material efficiency, and the work environment. The results indicate a disparity between actual coefficients and AHSP coefficients, driven by factors such as project conditions, construction methods, work scale, and resource management effectiveness. SEM simulation results reveal that human resource management and material efficiency are the dominant factors influencing labor productivity. The study produces a labor productivity coefficient calibration model F k =1 + (0.241X1 + 0.382X2 + 0.317X3 + 0.204X4) which can serve as a basis for adjusting AHSP coefficients in building construction projects.
