This study aims to determine whether there is a difference between the average learning outcomes of students students taught using the Problem-Based Learning model and those taught using the direct instruction model on the topic of Linear Equations. The research design employed was a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of class VIII B with 24 students as the experimental group and class VIII C with 20 students as the control group. The data analysis technique used was the t-telst. Based on the t-test results with a significance level of ( ), the obtained value was = 3,9699 > = 2,018, indicating that is rejected and is accepted. This mean that there is a difference between thel average learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and those taught using the direct instruction model on the topic of Linear Equations
