<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the form of interaction between teachers and deaf students through the use of sign language in the learning process at SLB B Yakut Purwokerto. Interaction in the learning process plays an important role, especially for deaf students who experience barriers in verbal communication. Therefore, teachers are required to use effective communication methods so that learning materials can be well understood by the students.This study employed a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted directly during classroom learning activities, while interviews were carried out with teachers and several deaf students. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to identify the forms of interaction that occurred during the teaching and learning process.The results of the study indicate that teachers use sign language, body movements, facial expressions, and visual media as the main means of interacting with deaf students. The use of such nonverbal communication helps students understand the learning materials, increases their attention, and creates a more active and comfortable learning environment. In addition, the teachers’ patience, attentiveness, and emotional approach were able to build harmonious relationships with the students.In conclusion, interaction through sign language in the learning process at SLB B Yakut Purwokerto plays an important role in improving the effectiveness of learning and supporting the social and emotional development of deaf students]]>
