Biodiversity is one of the important components in maintaining the balance of ecosystems and environmental sustainability. However, the low awareness of students towards environmental conservation is still a problem that needs to be considered in biology learning. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about biodiversity and students’ attitudes toward conservation in Grade X of SMA Negeri 2 Medan, Academic Year 2025/2026. The method used in this study was quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population consisted of 426 students, while the sample consisted of 70 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used were multiple-choice tests to measure the level of biodiversity knowledge, as well as multiple-choice tests and observation sheets to measure students’ attitudes toward conservation. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of this study indicated that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about biodiversity and students’ attitudes toward conservation. The correlation coefficient value of 0.733 indicated that the relationship between the two variables was categorized as strong and had a positive direction.
