This research investigated the effect of the Papan Penjumlahan Bersusun (PAJUSUN) media on mathematics learning outcomes and examined changes in students' achievement before and after its implementation in column addition lessons among second-grade students at SD Negeri 7 Lebak, Jepara. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The participants were 25 second-grade students. Data were obtained through achievement tests administered prior to and following the learning intervention. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired-sample t-test. The findings indicated an increase in students' mathematics achievement after learning with the Papan Penjumlahan Bersusun (PAJUSUN) media. The mean score improved from 45.8 on the pretest to 80.6 on the posttest. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the two measurements (p < 0.001). The effect size analysis produced a Cohen's d value of 3.54, indicating a very large educational effect. The use of Papan Penjumlahan Bersusun (PAJUSUN), which was developed from recycled wood waste materials, helped students engage with column addition concepts through concrete learning experiences. Therefore, the PAJUSUN media has the potential to be utilized as an effective learning medium for mathematics instruction in elementary schools.
